🌐 We’re Hiring: Localization Department Team Leader (Full-time)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Management

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of translators, interpreters, and language specialists.
  • Assign tasks, define priorities, and monitor daily progress to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development of team members.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires.
  • Proactively address performance issues and mediate team conflicts when necessary.

Project Management

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of language service projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, managing expectations and project scope.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Monitor project KPIs and adapt plans as necessary to meet business goals.

Quality Control

  • Ensure high linguistic quality, consistency, and accuracy across all deliverables.
  • Develop and implement quality control protocols, style guides, and terminology management.
  • Conduct reviews of translated content, provide feedback, and support linguistic excellence.
  • Guarantee compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Operational Management

  • Manage resources effectively, including budget planning, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Design and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency in language service delivery.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization, automation, and cost reduction.

Reporting

  • Generate and analyze reports on team performance, project status, and quality metrics.
  • Present insights to leadership for strategic planning and decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in CAT tools and language service management technologies.
  • Solid understanding of translation, interpretation, and localization processes.
  • Familiarity with linguistic principles, cultural sensitivity, and multilingual content workflows.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven customer service orientation with a collaborative mindset.
